Arianna Lago is a self-taught Italian photographer currently living in London. Attracted by both the beautiful and the odd, she captures scenes from her travels or the simple objects of everyday life.
What makes her work unique is that all of her images, shot mostly using 35mm, seem to be connected by the way she uses color, a sublime greenish color palette, and light.
No matter the subject, no matter the different environments she captures in one series, color and light are always continuous in her work.
In an interview she expressed: “I reject perfection in favor of the chaotic and arbitrary; the contemporary in favor of the nostalgic; and the natural in favor of the surreal.”
