We steer clear of the announcements typically foun We steer clear of the announcements typically found in magazines when they call for submissions. As artists ourselves, we understand that receiving a response like, "Due to the high volume of submissions we receive... we may not be able to respond..." can feel impersonal and cold. Particularly when you've poured your heart and soul into the material you're submitting. Also, we are frustrated with the exorbitant fees that increasingly more magazines often demand from artists in exchange for showcasing their work. We 've heard another three crazy stories this week.

We derive immense joy from looking at photos, contemplating them, engaging in conversations with friends about them, and allowing them to reshape our perspectives. This is especially true for images that exhibit a distinctive creator's touch, one that emanates from the unique facets of their character, eschewing fleeting trends that occasionally gain prominence.

So yeah, we would love to see and feature your artworks. Choose any sending method you like, as long as it reaches our inbox at info@velveteyes.net, with a copy sent to contact@iliaslois.com.
